"Fundamental heterogeneity" opens the inner realm of the mind to the outside. "I am not saying that disaster is absolute. On the contrary, disaster takes away the sense of direction from the absolute. Disaster causes nomadic confusion and then leaves again, but it has a sudden and intense unpredictability that is difficult to notice from the outside.
